Guide to Admissions

The admissions team is here to make your introduction to Princeton Junior School as warm and welcoming as our community is, while ensuring that you have an excellent understanding of our programs and curriculum.

Steps in the PJS Admissions Process

Applying to an independent school may seem daunting, but not at PJS. Our Admissions pages will help guide you through the steps of the application process. What’s more, we are available in person to assist you in any way we can. Please email us at admissions@princetonjuniorschool.org or call the office 609.924.8126 ext. 103 if you have any questions or would like to arrange a tour.

1 | Schedule a Tour

Families are encouraged to come take a tour of our school before submitting an application. Tours can be arranged with our Admissions Director Katie Pottinger by emailing kpottinger@princetonjuniorschool.org, or by submitting a Visit our School form.

2 | Submit an Application

Parents applying to Grade K-6 complete and submit an online application through the Standard Application Online. Parents applying to the Early Childhood Program can create a family account through the parent portal. Please visit the Apply to PJS page for more information. There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee. We are currently accepting applications for select classes for the 2024-2025 school year. Please email us to inquire about availability before submitting an application.

3 | Admissions Visit

Once the application has been received, the Admissions Office will reach out to schedule a time for your child's admissions visit. Children applying to the Early Childhood Program and Kindergarten will spend the morning at PJS in a class with their peers. Children applying to Grades 1-6 will join us for a full day visit.

4 | Committee Review

The Admissions Committee will review the child’s forms, records, and results of their admissions visit. Careful consideration is given to ensure that the School is a good fit for each family. Admissions decisions will be sent out on March 10, 2024.
