About the Program
Participating students will collaborate using a professional script and materials to rehearse and perform in this exciting production! Each student will be assigned a role and responsibilities, contributing to the overall success of the show. Our young actors will develop confidence, improve their performance skills, and deepen their understanding of their characters through engaging games and drama techniques.
Audition Details
On Friday, December 5th the cast will come together to read parts of the script, listen to the music, and begin preparing for auditions. Auditions will be held on Monday, December 8th and Tuesday, December 9th. Roles and scripts will be distributed before Winter break. A sign-up sheet will be emailed to parents for selecting an audition time slot. Every child in the club will receive a role in the production!
Commitment and Rehearsal Expectations
Please note that participating in the school musical is a commitment. Rehearsals can be demanding, and students are expected to focus and work hard. As part of a team, we will support each other throughout this process. There will be a parent meeting before rehearsals begin to provide more details.
Rehearsals will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays starting after Winter Break, with the possibility of additional Saturday rehearsals as the performance date approaches. Not all cast members will be needed at every rehearsal, but a clear schedule will be shared at the start of the rehearsal period. Please be aware that the schedule may change, and we will provide as much notice as possible for any adjustments. We kindly ask for your flexibility and understanding.
While we recognize that occasional absences may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, it is important that all actors called to rehearsal attend. If your child is not required at a rehearsal, please be prepared to pick them up promptly at dismissal.
Performance Dates
The final performances will be held on Friday, April 17th, and Saturday, April 18th. The process will be fun, rewarding, and an unforgettable experience for all involved!
