Celebrating 100 Days at PJS!

After several weeks of counting down to the big day, the K/1 class finally celebrated the 100th day of school on Wednesday, February 22nd!  Children began the day with 100 exercises in connection with their current IB Unit: A well-balanced lifestyle is important to human health.  The 100 exercises consisted of 10 jumping jacks, 10 sit-ups, 10 push-ups, 10 seconds standing on one foot, 10 seconds standing on the other foot, 10 arm circles, 10 toe touches, 10 arm curls, 10 knee lifts, and 10 seconds running in place.

Next, the teachers surprised the children with photos of themselves at 100.  (There really is an app for everything!)  There were lots of laughs and giggles as children looked at their wrinkled foreheads and imagined what they might be doing at age 100.

The celebration ended with snack as children created their own creative treat by sorting various snacks into ten groups of ten!
